Wearing the U-Boat watch is like having the best of the Italian Riviera strapped to your wrist.A beautiful Tuscan jewel. It really does brim with quality. It has luminescent retro style that for me brings back the thrill of the bubble of optimism that was the 1960's.
Memories of first seeing colour TV.
The Green Hornet with Bruce Lee as Kato; and glourious primary colour cartoons like Mighty Mouse (I was in Canada then, so I was ahead of the British game!). Back in foggy Yorkshire it was The Champions: Sterling, Barret and Macready.Or my eyes positively popped at the stylish futurism of The Prisoner. A programme I always pleaded with my mum and dad to let me watch, and then, after doing so, I'd always have nightmares of that other bubble: the one that chased down Patrick Magoohan (also a Sheffield boy) every time he tried to escape because hewas not just a number. Well, I'm not a number either and I too can escape now, with my U-Boat.It's green, and my god, it glows.
